We are keen to work with volunteers at the Health Project.   In 2016 we renewed our commitment to making sure volunteering with us a fun and rewarding experience by achieveing the Investing in Volunteers standard.

Volunteers in the Project take on a wide range of roles - including leading walking groups and other physical activity sessions, working with our cooking groups and food outreach sessions, engaging with other local community members through events and meeting and much more. We try to match volunteering roles with what each volunteer wants to achieve, so many are taking forward their own ideas.

All volunteers in the Project can expect to receive reasonable expenses, regular support and opportunities to develop their skills and confidence.

Exciting New Volunteer opportunity!!!

If you understand the benefits of exercise and enjoy encouraging people to get fit then we have an exciting new opportunity you might be interested in!

We need walk / jog leaders to help us with our expanding walk/jog group on Wednesday evenings at 7pm! The group last about an hour and is all about building up slowly with short intervals of Jogging and walking. The group have made so much progress that we are now needing to start a new beginners group too!

You don't need to be super fit to be a walk Jog volunteer, an interest in jogging would be good but not essential. What you DO NEED is tons of enthusiasm, motivation and an interest in keeping yourself and others active.
