Child Care at Pilton Community Health Project
It is very important for us to be able to offer quality childcare that will allow parents to access our services and participate in activities held here.
Pilton Community Health Project’s Playroom is a welcoming place where your children can play safely whilst you are taking part in a meeting or group activity. Our child care services are registered with the Scottish Commission for the Regulation of Care and our three workers are experienced and suitably trained up to SVQ 3 in Childcare, Education and Learning.
There are at least 2 adults in the playroom at all times and we can accommodate up to 8 children at any one time.
Our purpose built playroom has an adjoining sun room which leads out into a small, secure outdoor area. There is also a baby changing area and child’s toilet and sink area.
We cater for children from 6 weeks to 12 years and offer a wide range of toys, equipment and activities. We place children at the centre and aim to give each child a rich, stimulating experience that will positively influence their learning and development through play. By allowing the children to choose from a variety on offer and adapting to meet special needs or requests we value each child who uses our service.
The range of toys and activities on offer include creative arts, home corner, quieter book corner, sand/water play, jigsaws, games, construction toys, larger play equipment, dolls, cars, musical instruments and much more.
A healthy snack will be offered to children during most sessions and parents can provide food or milk for babies.
We welcome parents or carers to spend time in the crèche to help settle their children. Feel free to arrange to come in to see our playroom for yourself and discuss any arrangements or concerns you may have with staff here.
Our child care service is also available to outside agencies who may use our premises.
Please ask the Administrator or Project Co-ordinator for further information.
We work to the highest standards possible and follow a number of policies; Child Protection, Care and Control of Children, Health and Safety and have a Complaints procedure should you not be satisfied with our service.
